Metars, TAFs and NOTAMs

On departure we get asked about flying a SID if one isn’t submitted in the flightplan. I had a chance tonight to re-fly the same route, this time armed with some deeper understanding, and it went great. About freakin’ time, Ray So much better than Youtube videos. Posted August 21, Hey Ray, where’s the If this happens to sjd, you can find the same charts on the myairplane.

There are two issues that we need to deal with. Everything went nearly flawlessly except for some unexpected difficulty with my throttles they somehow got out of sync and some nasty crosswinds that forced me to eid my way into the runway 16R at SEA.

George Marinakis Posts: Thanks, Rick and Ed – appreciate the feedback! Press the EXEC button after making your change.

The Federal Aviation Administration website has wid the charts you need to plan your flight. Again, usually identified by Letters, then a single number.

All the SB screens could be easily presented there so that nothing would need to go on the PC screen and you could even fully respond textually in that display without impacting the sim. It’s one of the things I’d like to eradicate with Squawbox.

By Rich Heimlich – Sat Jun 17, 4: Loving flying in this area at the moment! If you want to land in the WEST direction, continue with the steps below. The arrival therefore gets you at a good altitude and a nice downwind heading for landing south. Can’t begin to tell you how your tutorials have helped me.

I then, after the flight, realized it was likely a STAR.

I departed from 10L. I don’t know enough about real-world operations at KSEA to say which runway it would be most realistic to use, but often the longest runway is used for departures, so for this example we’ll be using either 16L or 34R.

From there you would be sud back towards the west and south, to intercept the localizer for your assigned runway. VOR’s and things are usually three letters, airways are usually a single letter then numbers, and intersections are all letters, the STAR is the last thing before the arrival airport.

KSEA – Seattle Tacoma Intl Airport

The issue I ran into was that I was extremely close to KSEA on my right and the controller had me essentially make my turn at Let us see if we can work around the issue somehow. Begin by opening the airport diagram found sud the second page of the KSEA search results.

did I’m not blaming any individual developer for this problem, by the way – Seattle has always been a problem area for me in FSX.

Users browsing this forum: The usual reason for the throttles going out of sync is that you tried to type with the focus on the FS window instead of the SB window, and happened to hit the E key, which affects the engine.
